Where does your tithing money go?

Here is an example of a church that is doing it right (https://www.kwch.com/content/news/Wichita-church-pays-off-22-million-in-medical-debt-for-Kansans-508908081.html), they are spending their budgets on reaching the needy!

Isn’t that amazing? Paying off the debts of total strangers in their area in the name of Jesus Christ.

This church did it for Easter but why stop at Easter? Why not do it always, our money should be used for…the Bible says it best…

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Matthew 25 KJV

Churches (groups of Christians) should be doing this a lot more, spending money on the needs of others in the name of Jesus Christ!

If you check with your church find out what % goes to missions (esp local missions – selfless) compared to administrative (selfish).

I have found it to be consistently 80/20, 20% to missions if you are lucky / 80% to serve the church.

Can you do this for me? Ask for your budget today and comment on this post with what % of the church budget goes to missions.

It’s time for a change and it comes from the members of the church, that’s you if you are a Christian.
